Artist Statement

Water never stops moving simply because something stands in its way.

It turns, divides, collides, and sometimes loses its original direction—yet somehow, it always finds another way forward.

Flowing Toward the Light brings together deep ocean blue, turquoise, white, and gold in an organic movement across a circular canvas.

The layers of blue represent the depth and ever-changing emotions of life. White symbolizes renewal and possibility, while the traces of gold represent the light that remains present even when the path ahead is uncertain.

A circle has no true beginning and no final end.

Life often feels the same way. Sometimes we believe we have taken the wrong path, only to realize later that every detour, struggle, and unexpected turn was quietly leading us somewhere new.

Not every journey requires us to know the destination.
As long as we continue moving toward the light, we are never truly lost.

Gold does not overwhelm the blue in this work. Instead, it appears gently throughout the movement.

Because perhaps light does not always arrive all at once.

Sometimes, it reveals itself little by little—exactly when we need it most.

Flowing Toward the Light is ultimately about trusting the journey.

Even when you cannot see the answer yet, keep moving forward.
One day, you may discover that the road you thought was wrong was leading you toward the light all along.

Every movement created through fluid art is spontaneous and impossible to reproduce exactly, making Flowing Toward the Light a truly one-of-a-kind original.
